Little White Dress

White and clean – as simple as that. Even though white color can be tricky is definitely my favorite every-day color. To complete the look, gold accessories are on trend and certainly a good and comfortable pair of leather boots for the long walks and runs of my daily life.
Thank you Daniel Wellington for my gorgeous watch!!

Lately I’ve been wearing too much pink. Not the bright pink color that makes your eyes hurt but the soft, girly, pretty pink. Maybe it’s my inner girly-girl but I thought in doing a quick post with this outfit to remember  you all about October as our Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We all know it as the pink power month to create awareness but it is also about taking action and prevent this disease.
Even though you may not have a relative fighting against breast cancer, you know a friend of a friend, and I truly believe that’s enough reason to have the motivation to fight. We all dream of a better world so people like you and me live happy, but the only way to make it happen is by taking action and have the willingness to help.

Another year passed by, so many changes, experiences and challenges that I wouldn’t change for anything. I believe every year gets better and better, and only you can make it that way; the more you believe it the more it will happen. I was blessed to work with amazing companies, to create The Street Styler, to travel, to make incredible friends, but most importantly to have another year of happiness and health and to live surrounded by my family and people that care about me. I was also able to celebrate my first anniversary with my incredible boyfriend and accomplish one of my biggest goals: Graduation.

Be thankful for all the blessings, all the goals accomplished and even the failures — those are the ones that made you stand up again and grow. Be open minded, sometimes our plans change for good and turn out better than we expected them to, so receive the new year with a huge smile, a heart full of faith… and a killer dress
What are your New Year’s resolutions?

I started writing for CollegeFashionista since January and it’s been an amazing journey. The experience and the doors that it has opened have been more than what I expected. These are the first pictures I took as a Style Guru to promote CollegeFashionista at UTPA, along with my friends and Style Guru co-workers. This outfit is one of my favorites. I like it because of the flirty and feminine touch that the hat and A-line leather skirt give to the outfit – perfect for the transition into the fall season. Not many people like wearing leather but it is suitable for any age and shape; it is just about finding the perfect fit. Combined with ankle booties, this outfit is great for a brunch day or a birthday party.

Financial District

Shirt: H&M/ Shorts: American Eagle/ Booties: Candies / Necklace: Simply Vera by Vera Wang/ Bag: Urban Expressions

They say things turn out better when you don’t plan them, and in this case that happened. New York City has everyday surprises and our photoshoot day was all about the uptown subways being closed plus a little bit of rain. We had to work with what we had: Financial District, the place I call home for the summer.

My outfit is for a relaxing weekend. I’m wearing a button down, loose, burgundy shirt, ripped denim shorts, booties and a statement necklace. I love denim shorts and while you can wear them with wedge sandals you can also wear them with the most important asset in the city, booties! That’s right, even in the summer booties are your feet’s best friends. Always remember that even on bad days you can make an ordinary outfit look extraordinary. Always be ready to hit the streets because you never know what the day will bring to you.
