In honor of Valentine’s Day which is around the corner, I wanted to write this post. Even though my Valentine’s is a couple miles away from me right now, it doesn’t mean I have to stay home in PJ’s, drinking wine and watching Netflix… well, that sound like a great plan BUT it is also a day to celebrate friendships.
As I mentioned a blog before, after-college life is when you start meeting people of your own – those who understand how bad you need a glass of wine at 3pm, those who laugh with you even though they don’t get the joke (language barriers,) tell you what shoes to wear with an outfit you thought you would never try, those who would tell you how crappy you look and glam you up in the moment and most importantly, those who are there to listen to your struggles because they might be going through the same. Joel, from Moorehisstyle.com is definitely one of those friends… can’t you tell? I feel so blessed to have people like him in my life and I have a feeling these friendships are going on forever.

To all my fashionable-new-life-lasting friends: I LOVE YOU & Happy Valentine’s Day!

Love,
S

Lately I’ve been wearing too much pink. Not the bright pink color that makes your eyes hurt but the soft, girly, pretty pink. Maybe it’s my inner girly-girl but I thought in doing a quick post with this outfit to remember  you all about October as our Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We all know it as the pink power month to create awareness but it is also about taking action and prevent this disease.
Even though you may not have a relative fighting against breast cancer, you know a friend of a friend, and I truly believe that’s enough reason to have the motivation to fight. We all dream of a better world so people like you and me live happy, but the only way to make it happen is by taking action and have the willingness to help.

Hello March! The month where spring begins and when pastel colors start hitting the streets. I’m not a lot into trends but there’s a je ne sais quoi about Spring that I absolutely adore. Even though the tricky weather doesn’t always let me wear my favorite pair of sandals, it’s about playing with what you have from winter and summer and just mix and match all – period.

As you can see the statement of this post are the coat and hat; simple yet stylish. I might say good-bye to my favorite pink coat once the heat settles in the RGV, but my hat well, you might see my hats… a lot!

What’s your favorite Spring staple?

Love,
S
