New city, new looks, new posts: That will be The Street Styler from now on.
I love blogging about my personal theory of casual yet fun street style – however writing my blog was not my priority number one. I consider myself a workaholic… yes, the first step is to admit it.
My work has always been my priority: the fact of developing myself into a young professional independent woman is something so exciting and mysterious for what I live every day. They say “Do what you love and never work a day in your life” and that is something I always want my life to be about so, I am starting to find a good balance between my jobs and my blog, which I now see as equals.
As long as I do what I love I can be proud enough to share it with you all – be it my professional career or just some humble styling advice.
Do what you gotta do to be happy and don’t be ashamed of sharing it with the world! You never know who can be inspired.

Love,
S

P.S. Since I moved to Mexico City I guess it is time to start writing in both English and Spanish!

Finally back in Mexico! Actually, first time for me in Mexico city which is way different than the north. Feels so good to, after some chaos, get away and enjoy the simple things in life for a couple of days: Nice weather, delicious food and a good outfit without layers!
I love the fact of mixing oversized sweaters with sandals – it is about keeping the outfit interesting and not so cliché. When you have weather around the 60’s it is a must to play around with it.
Love,
S

Walking on the streets of Manhattan is always exciting. On my free time I love to carry my red Nikon camera and see what new perspective and stylist tips I can grab from the streets – therefore my blog “The Street Styler.”
Well, this time was the beginning of Fashion week and while I was walking towards the Lincoln Center, I could see the extra glamorous details in some peoples clothes and accessories – while I kept walking it was not only one out of five in the street but even groups of people with extraordinary sense of style as if they were taking from a magazine ad.
The closer I was to the Lincoln Center, the more contagious was the environment of truly Fashionistas walking around and making the street their runway. Woman with transparent boots, oversized puffy skirts and even some of them walking with their dogs as accessories – and the boys with clutch bags, ridiculous cool sunglasses and extra layers of shirts that made them the perfect gentleman look.
New York Fashion Week is always the most expected time of the year for the fashion industry, is like a wake up call for every one involved – be it magazine editors, public relations companies, designers and models to even bloggers, make up artists and upcoming designers. It is the time where standing out is a challenge and taking your network seriously is the key to succeed.
There I was walking around Lincoln Center with my red camera matching my red lips, ready to take some shots for today’s post. I must confess I was nervous about of the unknown but once I got there I felt I was finally in the right place. It is a breathtaking experience and luckily for my first day in fashion week, it was easier and fun as it looks like.
Love,
S

The Street Styler is getting bigger and better than ever. Although we’ve been absent for a couple of weeks that doesn’t mean this is over, yes… it is barely getting started. We are preparing a new logo, new columns and new fun and flirty outfits, so watch how this small street styler project transforms into your styling destination.
On the meantime, I brought you a denim-on-denim outfit, kind of what we wear at Unique’s very often since it’s the most comfortable, chic, on-the-go look you can ever get. The Bella-dahl tops are a must-have in everyone’s closet, the softness of the chambray shirt has no comparison to other brand – even Alessandra Ambrosio and Olivia Palermo can agree with that.
Thanks to working in retail not only I get to meet amazing talented people but I also get to learn more about well-known brands and the opportunity to blog cute casual outfits like this one!

Love,
S

I love my mom. Like mother-daughter relationships we have our agreements and disagreements yet when she “suggests” something, you better agree otherwise it will be chaos… but in this case she was right. After the cold season I realized (okay, my mom) that my wardrobe was mainly black and, although black will always be the classic-timeless color, once the flowers start to bloom it is time to add another color palette.
Slowly but happily I agreed with my mom to stop wearing too much black and booties, and start adding some floral prints and pastel colors to my day by day outfits. Blazers are always a good way to start out, they are the perfect sophisticated extra layer to add before leaving the house, Oh and shoes! Instead of buying the same type of pumps try bright colors with different cuts and shapes. You will see how tiny details will change your look completely.

S

As I always say: It’s not about the brand, it’s not about the price, but it’s about the quality and uniqueness. I’m always searching for different brands or designers – any piece or accessory that has a unique touch will catch my eye, and in this case I discovered Serendipia Accesorios.
From my home country Mexico, Serendipia brings bohemian/feminine collections to women of all ages and taste. Thank God for international shipping because now this gorgeous braided gold necklace with pearl details is mine! Check out their Facebook or Instagram accounts to see the latest collections.

Yes, I do believe in the power of a good accessory. Today’s outfit proves how a simple crop tee with the right amount of accessories can be the perfect spring outfit… including the pastel colors!

Switch it: Want to look more casual? Dare to wear this tee and skirt with an oversized denim jacket and wedge booties like me in SXSW!

You know those days when you are alone looking at photographs and thinking about making a change in your life? Well, thanks to that I’m always trying to stay positive and slowly but confident I feel like I’m taking one step at a time – working hard, looking at the bright side of everything and every day doing something no matter how small to build up my career.
Yes, there are days when it is hard to keep your chin up but you know what helps? Putting on a killer outfit! Random, but you will be surprise how something so simple as changing your clothes can turn up your mood for the rest of the day.
Even on a monday morning, if you really feel like wearing crop top, wear it! If you feel like wearing a crazy printed skirt, wear it! Whatever it takes to keep you smiling during the rough times is always good. I usually never wear sequin tops unless is a special night occasion but why not go out of the box for just one day… No regrets.
Love,
S
