I’m so thankful for 2014 – I enjoyed it more than I thought.
To start off, I chop my hair and kept the look all year long, even cut it shorter, I felt certain liberty with it and I’m having so much fun with this look. Other highlights of my year include blogging for The Street Styler, my 2 year anniversary with the love of my life and a lot of events including fashion week and weddings!
Also, I moved out  from the apartment I lived all my college years with my two wonderful roomates (that after all those years of happy-cry-stress moments became more like sisters) and moved to the city I love the most, New York. This moving changed my life, I’m happy to be able to work in the field I love and the one I work so hard to get into – I’m grateful to had the chance to meet new extremely talented people that now I call my friends and to be able to explore my creativity in a city where anyone can accomplish anything as long as you want it badly and you work for it.
I feel so blessed to have my family, my boyfriend and friends supporting me and loving me every step of the way – 2015 will be new, mysterious and with a lot of changes… amazing-good changes!
Always remember to never loose faith, take every opportunity as it comes, Don’t let anybody make you believe you dream too high,  always look forward and never, not for one instant, doubt of yourself.
Thank you all for being part of my year!
Love,
S

As I always say: It’s not about the brand, it’s not about the price, but it’s about the quality and uniqueness. I’m always searching for different brands or designers – any piece or accessory that has a unique touch will catch my eye, and in this case I discovered Serendipia Accesorios.
From my home country Mexico, Serendipia brings bohemian/feminine collections to women of all ages and taste. Thank God for international shipping because now this gorgeous braided gold necklace with pearl details is mine! Check out their Facebook or Instagram accounts to see the latest collections.

Yes, I do believe in the power of a good accessory. Today’s outfit proves how a simple crop tee with the right amount of accessories can be the perfect spring outfit… including the pastel colors!

Switch it: Want to look more casual? Dare to wear this tee and skirt with an oversized denim jacket and wedge booties like me in SXSW!

A small town girl always needs to take a break – even though that means driving 4 hours to a bigger town like Austin, TX. My weekend there consisted of day-to-night concerts, frozen drinks, lots of walking, floppy hats, leather booties, denim shorts, and amazing food… otherwise known as SXSW.

South by Southwest is a music, film and interactive festival that happens once a year where people from all over the world come together to celebrate and take advantage of the amazing events happening around downtown Austin. Yes, I needed to take a break and sure I did. The best part of it? The careless/casual street style fashion with a mix of bohemian, grunge and rock and roll. Music definitely brings people together.

What was your favorite part of Spring Break?

Fall season in the Valley means “be ready for ANYTHING”. One day we have unbelievably hot weather which makes us dream about being in a bikini all day and the next day we have thunderstorms that requires rain boots and jeans. Oh, it’s good to be home.

Today I’m wearing jeans which are the biggest asset in your wardrobe – it is fun to transform them for every occasion. I’m also wearing my oversized, chunky top from Zara with snake print wedges to give an edgy vibe. Of course, a statement necklace is always on my check list plus a pop of color that doesn’t hurt anybody. How do you transform your jeans?

A Walk On The Highline

Dress: TOPSHOP / Shoes: Restricted / Bag: Longchamp / Sunnies: Free People / Belt: BCBG

What a better way to wear a floral dress than for a walk in the park. One of my favorite parks has to be the Highline Park, also because I have the Chelsea market underneath where I can find the best iced coffee and brownies. Yes, I have a sweet-tooth!

As girly as I am, I actually don’t like wearing dresses. I like the challenge so mixing and matching pieces makes my style more fun and interesting, however some other times I feel like wearing one piece. This floral dress has enough print to put chunky accessories on it but a cute belt makes it more flirty. I chose black because it matches the black line on the panama hat and my sunnies, and to change it a little bit I put on my mint cut-out oxford shoes. Casual, comfortable and yet stylish.

Don’t be afraid to add your own touch to a simple dress, there is always a way to own a piece without trying too hard.

S
